What does the HTML to JSX converter do?
It turns regular HTML markup into JSX that React can render. Paste your HTML in the input area and the equivalent JSX appears in the output panel, updated as you type with a short debounce.
Which attributes get renamed?
class becomes className, for becomes htmlFor, tabindex becomes tabIndex, and other kebab-case attributes such as maxlength, colspan or stroke-width are converted to their camelCase React names. data-* and aria-* attributes stay exactly as they are.
How is the style attribute converted?
A CSS string like style="background-color: red; font-size: 12px" becomes a JavaScript object: style={{backgroundColor:'red', fontSize:'12px'}} with every CSS property converted to its camelCase name and the value quoted as a string.
How are void elements handled?
Elements that cannot have children — img, br, input, hr, meta, link and the rest — are normalized to self-closing syntax, so <img> becomes <img />, exactly as JSX requires. Empty divs and spans are closed the same way.
What happens to HTML comments?
They are converted to JSX comments: <!-- note --> becomes {/* note */}. Any sequence that would terminate the comment early is neutralized so the generated code always compiles.
How are entities and special characters treated?
Entities such as & or © are decoded to real characters, then braces and angle brackets are re-escaped in JSX-safe form, so text containing { } or < renders correctly without breaking the component.
What does the function component option do?
It wraps the converted markup in a ready-to-use template: function Component() { return ( ...your JSX... ) } instead of emitting raw JSX. Turn it on when you want to paste the snippet straight into a React file.
Is my HTML uploaded anywhere?
No. Parsing runs entirely in your browser using the built-in DOMParser. Nothing is sent to any server, so it is safe to convert private or unreleased markup, and it also works offline.
