What is a styled or artistic QR code?
A styled QR code is a standard QR code whose appearance has been customized: dot shapes, colors, corner eyes and even an embedded logo. The underlying data structure stays fully compliant with the QR specification, so scanners read it like any normal code.
Will my QR code ever stop working?
No. This tool creates static QR codes, meaning the content is encoded directly into the pattern itself. The code works forever and never expires, because nothing depends on an external redirect service.
Which error correction level should I choose?
L recovers about 7% damage, M about 15%, Q about 25% and H about 30%. If you place a logo on the code, choose H so the scanner can still reconstruct the covered modules. Otherwise M is a solid default.
Why can I put a logo inside a QR code?
QR codes use error correction: up to about 30% of the modules can be damaged or hidden and the data is still recoverable. A logo covering a small central area simply "eats" into that redundancy budget, which is why level H is recommended.
What content can I encode?
Any text up to the QR capacity limit: URLs, plain messages, phone numbers, email addresses, Wi-Fi credentials, vCards and more. The code just stores the exact characters you type.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser with JavaScript. The content you type never leaves your device, which also makes the tool safe for sensitive links.
Which download format should I pick: PNG, SVG or JPEG?
SVG is best for print and any resizing because it is infinitely scalable. PNG is ideal for websites, presentations and messengers. JPEG is fine for photos-heavy contexts but adds slight compression artifacts around sharp QR edges.
Why does color contrast matter for scannability?
Scanners separate dark modules from light ones, so the code color must be significantly darker than the background. Light-on-light or similar-brightness combinations often fail, which is why the tool warns you below a 3:1 contrast ratio.
Can I use these QR codes commercially?
Yes. The QR code is an open ISO/IEC 18004 standard with no license fees, and codes you generate belong to you. You can print them on products, menus, posters or packaging freely.
How to Use QR Code Styler
Design a scannable QR code that matches your brand: pick dot and corner styles, set brand colors, and finish it with your own logo in the middle. The code is generated entirely in your browser — the content you encode never touches a server.
- Type a URL or any text into the QR content box — the preview regenerates live as you type.
- Pick a Dot style from the chips (Dots, Rounded, Classy and more) and set the Code color and Background. If the contrast drops too low a yellow warning appears: a dark code on a light background scans most reliably.
- Shape the three finder squares with the Corner eye style selector, and tick Custom corner color to give them their own shade.
- Click the logo zone to upload a logo, then tune Logo size and Logo margin with the sliders — error correction automatically jumps to H so the code stays scannable.
- Set the Export size with the slider, then press PNG, SVG or JPEG to download the finished code.
Test-scan the exported file with two different phones before publishing or printing: screens, print quality and lighting all affect scanning, and error correction level H gives you the largest safety margin.
