What does the screenshot framer do?
It wraps your screenshot in a realistic shell — a light or dark browser address bar, a macOS window with the classic traffic-light buttons, or no frame — places it on a gradient or solid background and exports a finished PNG for documentation, social posts or store listings.
Can I customize the text in the browser bar?
Yes. The URL or title field controls the text drawn in the address bar of the browser shells and the centered window title of the macOS shell, so your mockup can show any domain or label you like.
Which backgrounds are available?
Eight hand-picked multi-stop gradients plus a color picker for any solid background color. The live preview updates instantly as you switch.
What do the radius, padding and shadow controls do?
Corner radius rounds the frame window from 0 to 24 px, padding adds breathing room between the shell and your screenshot from 0 to 64 px, and shadow strength from 0 to 100 percent controls how strongly the window lifts off the background.
Should I export at 1x or 2x?
Use 1x for quick sharing and 2x when the image will be shown on retina displays or zoomed, for example in documentation or an app store gallery. The 2x export doubles width and height for crisp results.
Are my screenshots uploaded anywhere?
No. Compositing runs entirely in your browser on a canvas element, and the exported PNG is generated locally. Your images never leave your device.
How do I get the screenshot into the tool?
Three ways: click the upload area to pick a file, drag a screenshot onto it, or simply paste one from your clipboard with the paste shortcut.

How to Use Screenshot Framer
This framer turns a raw screenshot into a presentation-ready image without any design tool. It wraps the shot in a light or dark browser address bar, a macOS window with traffic-light buttons, or leaves it bare, drops it onto one of eight gradients or any solid color, and composites everything live on a canvas. Radius, padding, shadow and the address-bar text are all adjustable, and the PNG export runs locally in your browser.
- Drag a screenshot onto the upload area, click it to pick a file, or paste one from the clipboard.
- Pick a frame in the Frame selector: Browser light, Browser dark, macOS window or No frame.
- Choose a background: click one of the eight gradient swatches, or pick any solid color with the color swatch on the right.
- Edit the URL or title text field to change the label drawn in the browser bar or macOS title, and fine-tune corner radius, padding and shadow with the three sliders.
- Switch Export scale between 1x and 2x, check the live preview, then press Export PNG to save your-screenshot-name_frame.png.
