SQLite Online
Run SQLite queries in your browser. Open .db/.sqlite/.sqlite3 files or create an in-memory database, run multi-statement SQL, export results as CSV or JSON.
What is this SQLite online tool?
It is a full SQLite runner that works entirely in your browser. The real SQLite engine is compiled to WebAssembly (sql.js) and executed inside a Web Worker, so you can create tables, run queries and inspect results without installing anything.
Is my database uploaded to a server?
No. Database files are read locally and all queries run on your device. The database lives in the browser's memory only, so nothing is transmitted, logged or stored anywhere.
Which file types can I open?
Any standard SQLite database file: .db, .sqlite and .sqlite3 are all accepted. The file must be a valid SQLite 3 database - encrypted or corrupted files cannot be opened.
How do I run SQL statements?
Type your SQL into the editor and press Execute, or use Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac). You can run several statements at once, separated by semicolons - each result set appears in its own tab.
Where is my data stored?
In memory only. Closing or reloading the page discards the database. To keep your work, use Download DB to save the current state as a .sqlite file and reopen it later.
Which SQL features are supported?
The full SQLite dialect: CREATE TABLE, views, indexes, triggers, JOINs, subqueries, window functions, transactions and PRAGMA statements. File I/O attachments and loadable extensions are not available in the browser.
How do I save my database?
Click Download DB at any time. The current in-memory database is serialized with db.export() and saved as a standard .sqlite file that you can open again later or use in any SQLite tool.
How large a database can it handle?
It is limited by your browser's memory - databases of hundreds of megabytes usually work. For readability, each result grid shows the first 200 rows, while table previews show 50 rows with full column structure.
Can I import CSV data?
There is no direct CSV import, but you can create a table and insert your rows with INSERT statements. Export a result set as CSV or JSON instead to get your query output out of the tool.
Is it real SQLite?
Yes. The tool runs the official SQLite engine compiled to WebAssembly, so syntax, functions and behavior match desktop SQLite exactly, including SQLite-specific pragmas and error messages.
How to Use SQLite Online
A complete SQLite engine compiled to WebAssembly and running inside your browser: create tables, run queries, open existing database files and export the results. The data lives only in your tab's memory and never touches a server.
- Once the engine banner disappears, press Load sample to get a ready-made employees table to experiment with, or Open file to load your own .db / .sqlite file; New database starts a fresh in-memory database instead.
- Write your SQL in the editor and press Execute — Ctrl/Cmd+Enter works too. Statements run in order, and every result set gets its own Result tab with the row count plus CSV and JSON export buttons.
- Created and loaded tables appear in the Tables sidebar; click one to preview its columns and first rows, and press Close to hide the panel again.
- Syntax problems show up in the red panel with SQLite's own error message, so you can fix the statement and run it again.
- Press Download DB before you leave — the database lives in memory, so closing or refreshing the tab discards everything that was not exported.
Send several statements separated by semicolons in a single Execute to build and seed a schema quickly, and wrap risky experiments in a transaction (BEGIN … ROLLBACK) so you can undo them.
