How to Use Copybook Generator
Generate Chinese character copybooks and tracing sheets for handwriting practice, entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Pick characters, grid style and paper size, then export the sheet as PNG or PDF.
- Choose a Practice Mode: Character Practice for single characters or Article Practice for full passages.
- Type your characters into Characters to Practice, or use the Strokes, Numbers, Common and Alphabet buttons to fill the list quickly.
- Under Grid Style, pick Rice Grid, Field Grid, Palace Grid, Nine Grid, Ruled Lines or Blank to match your level.
- Set Trace Mode to Copy Mode or Uniform Trace, then adjust Grid Size, Font Size and Practice Rows per Character.
- Choose Paper Size (A4 or Letter) and Margin, and set the model character color with Stroke Color.
- Enter a Page Title if you want it printed, then export the finished sheet as PNG or PDF.
Beginners should start with Rice Grid or Nine Grid — the guide lines show exactly where each stroke belongs.
