How do I create an online signature?
Choose the Draw tab and sign with your mouse, finger or stylus directly on the canvas, or switch to the Type tab and enter your name in a handwriting font. Then download the result as an image and insert it wherever you need to sign.
What image formats can I download?
You can download a transparent PNG (best for placing over text in PDFs and Word documents), a white-background PNG, or a JPEG. The signature is automatically cropped to remove empty space around it.
Can I use my finger or a stylus on mobile?
Yes. The drawing canvas supports touch and stylus input, including pressure sensitivity on compatible pens, so thicker pressure produces thicker strokes like a real pen.
Is this electronic signature legally binding?
An image of your signature is widely accepted for everyday agreements and internal documents, but legal validity depends on your country and the type of contract. For formal transactions you may need a qualified digital signature under local e-signature law.
Is my signature stored anywhere?
No. The entire drawing and export process happens locally in your browser - nothing is uploaded to any server, and closing the page erases your signature completely.
How do I add my signature to a PDF?
Download the transparent PNG, then open the PDF in an editor that supports images or our PDF editor, insert the PNG on the signature line and save. The transparent background means no white box appears over the document.
Can I change the ink color and thickness?
Yes. Choose black, dark blue or dark red ink, pick any custom color with the color picker, and adjust the pen thickness slider for a fine or bold signature.
Can I undo strokes while drawing?
Yes. Every stroke is recorded separately, so the Undo button removes the last stroke step by step, and Clear wipes the canvas for a fresh start.

- Click PNG transparent to download an auto-cropped signature with no background, ideal for placing over text in PDF and Word documents.
- Use PNG white or JPEG when you need a solid background, for example in emails or image-heavy forms.
Sign slowly and use long, connected strokes instead of small separate ones - the result exports as one smooth curve that looks far more natural in documents.
