PDF to PPT
Convert PDF pages to PowerPoint slides. Each page rendered as a high-quality image on a slide.
How does PDF to PPT conversion work?
This tool uses PDF.js to render each PDF page as a high-quality image, then places each image as a full-slide background in a PowerPoint file using PptxGenJS. Everything is processed locally in your browser.
Is my PDF data safe?
Yes, all processing happens locally in your browser. No PDF files are uploaded to any server. Your documents remain completely private.
What image quality options are available?
You can choose DPI from 72 to 300. Higher DPI produces sharper images but results in larger PPTX files and longer processing times. 150 DPI is recommended for most uses.
Can I convert specific pages only?
Yes, you can choose to convert all pages or specify a page range (e.g., 1-3, 5, 7-9) to convert only the pages you need.
What is PDF.js?
PDF.js is an open-source JavaScript library by Mozilla that renders PDF files directly in web browsers using HTML5 canvas. It's the same technology used in Firefox's built-in PDF viewer.
What is PptxGenJS?
PptxGenJS is a JavaScript library that creates PowerPoint (PPTX) files programmatically. It generates presentations with images, text, shapes, and formatting directly in the browser.
Can I edit the PowerPoint after conversion?
Yes, the generated PPTX file is fully editable in Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, LibreOffice Impress, and other presentation software. Each PDF page becomes an image on a slide that you can add text, shapes, and other elements to.
What are common use cases for PDF to PPT conversion?
Common uses include: creating presentations from PDF reports, converting academic papers to slides for teaching, transforming PDF brochures into editable presentations, and reusing PDF content in PowerPoint templates.
Does the tool preserve PDF formatting?
The tool renders each PDF page as a high-resolution image, so visual formatting is preserved exactly as it appears in the PDF. However, text is not selectable or editable as text - it becomes part of the slide image.
What browsers are supported?
The tool works in all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera. It requires JavaScript enabled and works on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
