Prayer Times
Free online prayer times for 115+ world cities: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha with ten calculation methods, Asr school and next-prayer countdown. Local.
How are the prayer times calculated?
With the open-source adhan library, using standard astronomical formulas: sun angle thresholds for Fajr and Isha, shadow length for Asr, and sunset/sunrise for Maghrib and Sunrise, all computed locally in your browser.
Which calculation method should I choose?
Choose the method used where you live: Muslim World League (Europe), ISNA (North America), Umm al-Qura (Saudi Arabia), Karachi (Pakistan/India), Egyptian (Africa/Middle East), plus Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore and Turkey presets.
What is the difference between the two Asr options?
The Standard (Shafi, Maliki, Hanbali) schools use a shadow factor of 1, while the Hanafi school uses 2, which makes the Asr time later in the day.
Are the times shown in my city's time zone?
Yes. Every time is rendered with the IANA time zone of the selected city, so a city in another timezone displays its correct local prayer times.
Can I use my exact GPS location?
Yes, tap "Use my location" and allow geolocation. The times are then computed for your precise coordinates with your device time zone.
What is "middle of the night"?
It is the midpoint between Maghrib and the next day's Fajr (the islamic midnight used for night prayers such as Tahajjud planning).
Is any data sent to a server?
No. Coordinates, city selection and calculations all happen locally in your browser; nothing is transmitted or stored.
Why do times differ slightly from my local mosque?
Mosques may add a safety margin of 1-3 minutes, use local observation or a slightly different method. Match the method and Asr school of your community for the closest results.
How to Use Prayer Times
This prayer times tool computes Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha entirely in your browser with the open-source adhan library, for 115+ world cities or your exact GPS position. Times render in the city's own time zone and nothing is sent to any server.
- Pick your city from the dropdown, or press "Use my location" and allow geolocation for exact coordinates.
- Select the calculation method used in your region (Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Karachi, Egyptian and more).
- Choose the Asr school: Standard (Shafi, Maliki, Hanbali) or Hanafi.
- Read the six prayer cards; the next prayer is highlighted with a live countdown.
- Switch between 24-hour and 12-hour format, and check the Islamic middle of the night below the cards.
If your mosque time differs by a couple of minutes, it is usually a safety margin — matching the method and Asr school of your community brings the values closest together.
