How do I record my screen online?
Click "Start recording", choose in the browser dialog whether to share the entire screen, a single window or a browser tab, and the recording begins after a short 3-2-1 countdown. When finished, press Stop and download the video.
Is there a watermark or time limit?
No. Recordings are completely clean with no watermark, and there is no time limit - the only constraints are your disk space and browser stability. Very long recordings are better saved in segments.
Can I record system audio and my microphone together?
Yes. Enable "System audio" before starting and share a browser tab to capture its sound, and enable "Microphone" to add narration on top. Both audio sources are mixed into the same recording.
What format is the recording saved in?
Recordings are saved as WebM video (VP9 or VP8 codec depending on your browser). WebM plays in most modern players and uploads fine to YouTube and other platforms; convert to MP4 if a specific app requires it.
Are my recordings uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole capture and encoding pipeline runs locally in your browser. Video is written to your device only when you click download, and closing the tab erases unsaved recordings.
Why can't I record on my phone?
Mobile browsers generally do not support the screen-capture API this tool uses. Screen recording works on desktop Chrome, Edge and Firefox; on phones, use the built-in system recorder instead.
Can I pause the recording in the middle?
Yes. Press Pause to hold the recording without ending it, Resume to continue, and Stop to finish. Paused time is not written into the final video.
What resolution and quality do I get?
By default the video matches the source resolution you share. You can also cap it to 1080p, 720p or 480p in the quality selector before starting, which produces smaller files.
How to Use Screen Recorder

- Set your options first: toggle Microphone for narration, System audio for tab sound (available when sharing a browser tab) and pick a quality cap if you want smaller files.
- Press Start recording and choose what to share in the browser dialog - entire screen, a single window or a tab.
- After the 3-2-1 countdown the REC badge and timer appear over the live preview of what is being captured.
- Use Pause to hold the take without ending it and Resume to continue; stopped time never reaches the file.
- Press Stop when finished - the video appears below with a player; click the download icon to save the file or the trash icon to discard it.
Share a browser tab instead of the whole screen whenever possible: the recording then stays sharp even on slow connections, and tab sharing is also what enables system audio capture.
