Touch Screen Test
Free online touch screen test. Draw with all fingers at once to check multi-touch, ghost touches, max simultaneous points and tap response in your browser.
How do I test multi-touch on my screen?
Place as many fingers as you can on the canvas at the same time and drag them around. Each finger draws in its own color, and the counters show how many touch points the screen recognized simultaneously.
What does the maximum simultaneous counter mean?
It stores the highest number of touch points your device reported at the same moment during this session. Many phones support 5 to 10 points; if your screen stops at fewer than expected, its multi-touch is limited or the glass is damaged.
What are ghost touches?
Ghost touches are inputs your screen registers where you are not touching. On the canvas they appear as strokes or dots in places you never moved a finger, often caused by a damaged digitizer, a poor charger or moisture.
Does the test work with a mouse?
Yes. On a desktop the mouse acts as a single pointer, so you can verify that the page responds correctly, but true multi-touch requires a touch-capable device.
What is the tap ripple for?
Every touch-down produces an instant expanding ring plus an entry in the tap counter. This gives immediate visual feedback about tap response and dead spots.
Why do my trails disappear?
Trail fading is on by default so the canvas stays readable. Older points fade out after about 1.2 seconds; uncheck the fade option if you want every stroke to stay until you clear the canvas.
Is any touch data uploaded or stored?
No. All processing happens live in your browser, no coordinates are recorded anywhere, and nothing leaves your device.
Does it support a stylus?
Yes. The test uses Pointer Events, so stylus input is treated as another pointer with its own color, as long as the browser and device support it.
How to Use Touch Screen Test
This tool turns your screen into a multi-touch drawing surface: every finger, stylus or mouse pointer draws in its own color while live counters track how many touch points your device recognizes at once. It runs entirely in your browser — no touches are recorded or uploaded.
- Touch the canvas and drag with one finger to see the trail and the ripple that confirms tap response.
- Add more fingers gradually and watch the Touching now and Max simultaneous counters climb to your screen's true limit.
- Watch for strokes appearing where you never touched — that is a sign of ghost touches or a damaged digitizer.
- Turn off Fade trails if you want every stroke to stay visible until you press Clear canvas.
- Use Reset stats after fixing a charger or screen protector to start a fresh max-simultaneous measurement.
If the maximum stalls at 2 points on a phone that should support 5 or more, try removing the screen protector and stopping charging — cheap chargers are a classic cause of ghost touches.
