Images to GIF
Create animated GIFs from PNG, JPEG or WebP images. Reorder frames, set delays, loop count, palette size and dithering. Encoding runs 100% in your browser - no upload.
How do I make an animated GIF from images?
Add your PNG, JPEG or WebP files in the order you want them to play, set the frame delay and loop count, then press Create GIF. The frames are combined into one animated GIF you can download.
Is any image uploaded to a server?
No. The GIF is encoded entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Your images stay on your device the whole time, which makes the tool safe for private photos.
How can I change the animation speed?
Use the global frame delay in milliseconds, or type an individual delay under any frame to give that frame its own speed. Lower values mean a faster animation.
Can I reorder or remove frames?
Yes. Each frame in the list has move up, move down and remove buttons, so you can arrange the sequence exactly as you want.
What does the palette color option do?
GIF stores at most 256 colors per image. Choosing 128 or 64 colors produces a smaller file, while 256 keeps the most color detail.
What is dithering for?
Dithering blends available colors in a pattern to simulate shades that are not in the palette. It noticeably reduces banding in gradients and photos at the cost of slight grain.
How do I control looping?
Choose Infinite for a GIF that repeats forever, or pick a number to repeat the animation a fixed amount of times before it stops.
Why is my GIF file large?
GIF is an uncompressed-indexed format, so size grows with pixel dimensions, frame count and delay speed. Reducing output width or the number of frames shrinks the file dramatically.
Which image formats and sizes are supported?
PNG, JPEG and WebP images of any reasonable size work. Transparent PNGs keep their transparency in the GIF. Very large inputs are automatically capped for stability.
Does the GIF keep animation quality of my photos?
GIF uses a limited palette, so photographic gradients may show slight banding. Enable dithering and use 256 colors for the best photo results.
How to Use Images to GIF
Turn a sequence of images into an animated GIF right in your browser. Frames are combined with the fast gifenc encoder locally — your images are never uploaded anywhere.
- Click the upload zone or drag multiple PNG, JPEG or WebP files onto it. Files are added as frames in the order you pick them.
- Use the up and down arrows on each frame to reorder the sequence, the X button to remove a frame, and the small number field to override that frame's delay in milliseconds.
- Set the global frame delay, output width, palette colors (256/128/64), loop count, and toggle dithering to reduce banding in gradients.
- Press Create GIF and wait for the progress bar, then check the preview and press Download to save animation.gif.
For smooth animations keep frames at the same pixel size; for small files choose 480px width and 128 colors — dithering keeps gradients looking good even then.
