What is a CPS test?
CPS stands for clicks per second. The test counts how many times you can press the mouse button or tap the screen within a set time — 1, 5, 10 or 60 seconds — and divides that number by the duration to give your CPS score.
What is a good CPS score?
Around 5–7 CPS is a solid average for regular clicking, 8–10 is fast, and experienced players using jitter or butterfly techniques can reach 12 or more. On the 60-second mode endurance matters more, so scores are naturally lower.
How does the test work?
Your very first click starts the timer, so there is no separate start button to slow you down. Every click is counted in real time on the big counter, and when the chosen duration ends the input is locked and your result appears.
Which mode should I choose?
The 1-second mode measures your raw burst speed, 5 seconds is the community standard for CPS records, 10 seconds adds a bit of endurance, and 60 seconds is a real workout for your hand. Bests are tracked for each mode separately.
Are my results saved or shared?
Your personal bests are stored locally in your browser only — nothing is uploaded to any server and no account is needed. Clearing the site data erases them.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The large tap area is designed for touch, so you can test your tapping speed with one or two fingers. Touch scores are usually lower than mouse scores because lifting a finger takes longer than a click.
What do the ranks mean?
The ranks are a fun extra based on your CPS: average clickers land in the middle tiers, while scores above 9 CPS earn the Lightning tier and above 12 the Superhuman tier. They are purely for motivation.
How can I click faster?
Keep your hand relaxed, rest your palm lightly on the desk and use your fingertip. Techniques like jitter clicking or butterfly clicking (two fingers alternating) can raise your numbers, but take breaks — long sessions can strain your hand.
How to Use Click Speed Test
This CPS (clicks per second) test measures how fast you can click. Your very first click starts the timer, the big number grows in real time, and when the chosen duration ends the input locks and you get your total clicks, a CPS score and a fun rank. Personal bests are kept per mode in your browser only — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
- Pick the test length with the Test length selector: 1 s, 5 s (default), 10 s or 60 s.
- Click anywhere in the big square — the very first click starts the countdown, so you lose no rhythm.
- Keep clicking as fast as you can; the huge counter and the remaining seconds update live while you tap.
- When time is up the input locks: the result cards show Total clicks, CPS to two decimals and your rank.
- Tap the square again for a fresh run, press Test again on the result, or hit Reset to clear the current state; your per-mode personal bests are listed under Personal bests by mode.
The 5-second mode is the community standard for CPS records, so use it when comparing scores with friends. For pure burst speed try 1 second; for hand endurance try 60 — and rest between long sessions.
